— THEY DROP A PITCHERS DUAL FALLING 1-NOTHING.>>>THE TIME IS ALMOST UPON US FOR BSU SPORTS. LAST WEEK THE BEAVERS COACHES WERE OUT IN FULL SWING AT THE GORDY SKAAR GOLF TOURNAMENT, BUT AS THEY WERE RELAXING, ENJOYING A ROUND OF GOLF, WE MANAGED TO GET THEM TO TALK A LITTLE ABOUT THE UPCOMING SEASON. THE BSU MEN’S HOCKEY TEAM WAS TWO GAMES BELOW .500 AT 15-17 AND 6 LAST YEAR. THE STRENGTH OF THE TEAM WAS ON THE BLUE LINE WITH A FORWARD GROUP THAT FEATURED LITTLE EXPERIENCE WITH AT TIMES AS FEW AS ONE UPPERCLASSMAN FORWARD IN THE LINEUP. THAT MEANS A BATTLE TESTED FORWARD GROUP RETURNS, ONE THAT HEAD COACH TOM SERRATORE HOPES WILL GO FROM ONE OF THE YOUNGEST IN THE COUNTRY TO ONE OF THE BEST.>>THEY EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS LAST YEAR. I KNOW THE COACHING STAFF’S EXPECTATIONS. THEY PLAY A LOT OF IMPORTANT — [INAUDIBLE] WITH US. THEY’VE GOT EXPERIENCE. YOU WANT THEM TO ELEVATE THEIR GAME AND BRING IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL. IT’S ALL PROGRESSION OVER THE FOUR YEARS. THE ONE AREA WHERE WE WERE EXPERIENCED WAS ON THE BACK LINE. NEXT YEAR, WE’RE GOING TO BE, YOU KNOW, INEXPERIENCED AND YOUNG ON THE BACK LINE. THAT’S ALL RIGHT. WE LIKE OUR RETURNING DEFENSEMAN. WE LIKE THE GUYS COMING IN.>>>ROSS ARMOR, A FRESHMAN FORWARD FOR THE TEAM LAST YEAR, IS AT THE NASHVILLE PREDATORS DEVELOPMENT CAMP. RECENT GRAD JUSTIN BAUDRY WILL BE AT THE BUFFALO SABRES CAMP
