AS THERE WAS A SOLO BLAST. NO WIN FOR THE TWINS. THEY TOP 10-4. BELIEVE IT OR NOT, IT’S TIME TO DROP THE PUCK ON ANOTHER BSU HOCKEY SEASON. TOMORROW NIGHT THE WOMEN’S TEAM BEGINS PLAY WITH AN EXHIBITION GAME. LOOKING TO START THE SEASON OFF RIGHT. CERTAINLY BETTER THAN THEY DID LAST YEAR.>>I THINK IT’S STARTING OFF FAST AND POSITIVE. FOR US SENIORS IT’S GOING TO BE A LITTLE BIT OF A KICK IN THE BUTT.>>THEY CERTAINLY CANT ACHIEVE THEIR LOFTY GOAL OF QUALIFYING FOR THE NCAA TOURNAMENT WITH AN AT LARGE BID IF THEY GO WINLESS IN THEIR FIRST TEN GAMES. LIKE THEY DID LAST YEAR. IT’S A SEASONED GROUP WITH NINE OF THEIR TOP TEN SCORERS RETURNING FROM LAST YEAR, AS WELL AS FIVE OF THEIR SIX STARTING DEFENSEMEN AND ALL THREE GOALTENDERS. TOMORROW’S EXHIBITION AGAINST SASKATCHEWAN-BASED UNIVERSITY OF REGINA IS THE FIRST STEP IN FIGURING OUT WHO WILL GET ICE TIME FROM THIS LOADED ROSTER.>>AGAIN, LIKE I TOLD THEM, DON’T BE COMFORTABLE. ULTIMATELY WE’RE GOING TO PLAY THE TOP PLAYERS WE FEEL WILL GIVE US THE CHANCE. THAT’S THE BIGGEST THING, PUTTING LINES TOGETHER AND SEEING WHERE PEOPLE FIT. THE PRACTICE AND THE WORK ETHIC HAS BEEN OUTSTANDING. >>GET PEOPLE FAMILIAR AND THE COACHES CAN SEE WHO FITS WELL
