Women’s Volleyball. Down 2 sets to 1 against Boston College
Sope Adeleye and Jamie Rao put up a dominant block at the net to seal the set
25-23 and force decisive 5th set against the Eagles. At number four Field Hockey. Early on in
Sunday afternoon’s contest against Maine senior Casey Allen gave the Crimson the lead with a beautiful reverse
stick shot into the top left corner. Harvard would go on to win 4-1 over the Black Bears.
A victory keyed by three second half goals. At number three Women’s Rugby. After forcing a turnover
junior Erica Jarrell broke free for a 60 meter try to extend the Crimson’s lead over the defending national champions Dartmouth to 41-12.
The Crimson would go on to win the match 50-32. At number two Women’s Soccer. Doubling the team’s advantage
against UMass Lowell sophomore Lara Schenk laced a free kick from more than 30 yards into the top right corner just out
of the reach of the Riverhawls goalkeeper. The goal was 1 of 9 on the week for the Crimson who
moved to 6-2 with wins over UMass Lowell and Long Island. At number one, football. In the second
half of the season opener at San Diego quarterback Jake Smith threw a career-long 75-yard touchdown
pass to Cody Crest on the first play of the second half. Smith then topped that with an 80-yard touchdown strike
to Jack Cook midway through the fourth quarter. That 80-yard play is tied for the
