how to make hunting shooting sticks hi it’s AlaskaGranny have you considered making some shooting
sticks if you ever plan on going hunting with heavy rifles or going on safari these are a great thing to have to
help you take aim and get your shot and one thing that is helpful if you have them practice
with using before you go out so I have three 3 bamboo poles about 6 feet long 1 is about four inches shorter and I am going to explain to you why that it
you put your tipss together and you lash them with a piece leather and I leather over the tips on 2 to help protect the gun if
you wanted you could sew a piece of leather and
make that cut fingers off a glove just put it on 2 to show you why when you get ready to use your sticks put it out in a tripod position notice that the 2 leather ones go to the sides the third one doesn’t have anything on it I am going to slide down when I make my V to position my gun I can use the third one to lower it to the position I want when I’ve got it sturdy I can rest my gun here and take my shot rest my gun on the leather part it helps me to support a heavy rifle
so no matter what I’m going to have the best steadiest aim to get the shot that I want so if you want to practice making long shots accurately and your gun is heavy make yourself some shooting sticks and practice with them to help improve your hunt please subscribe AlaskaGranny channel alaskagranny.com

Good tip Alaska Granny.  I noticed the flora doesn't look like Alaska though?

I made some shooting sticks w/ 2 stick, but it was unstable. So I decided to use 3 sticks, just didn't work out. Then I watched this video…it never occurred to me to shorten one of the sticks…facepalm! Thanks for the tip AlaskaGranny! MiF

Love the simplistic design. The rifle you used looks like a Winchester 94, 26 inch octagon barrel, perhaps chambered in 32 Winchester special? One of my very favorite rifles! Thanks for taking the time to put this together. Stay safe.

This is great. I have seen them for sale online for 199.00 for Hickory and almost gagged. I can get some bamboo poles at Michael's $10-20 bucks Im guessing. Thanks so much…you rock AG!

I just saw this and I tried to post a comment last week, but to no avail. Anyway, can you give me details regarding the lashing material and how you lashed the sticks together? Size & type of material, leather I am guessing, second the knot type or how you lashed order wise the three poles.
