Hi, my name is Luke, and I play for the UNCW
Seahawks, and I’m going to tell you how to perform crossovers in ice hockey. The main
thing you want to do, while performing crossovers in ice hockey, is getting that full extension
of your legs, both your crossover leg, and your rear leg, to push off. Also, you really
want to use both your inside and outside edges, on your skates, to really help get that extra
push, and gain some more speed. The other thing you want to do while performing crossovers
in ice hockey, is using your shoulders. Whichever way you’re turning, you really want to dip
into that turn, and use your shoulders, and lean. Just to help you with your balance,
and get some more momentum around the turn. Now, I’m going to demonstrate both ways, both
left and right, how to perform crossovers in ice hockey, and that’s how you perform crossovers in ice
hockey.

you'll have the basic balance down yes but its drastically different on ice. You'll be able to skate better than somebody who doesnt ice skate or play hockey at all but its all practice…i play roller hockey and im an ok ice skater, i just never got into ice…having never played roller id probably be terrible at ice skating

@yoyaya007 Actually you don't turn faster that way. crossovers are kind'a slow way to do turns, but it's good if you are waiting for pass or trying to give the puck away.

@KDAK the people who are saying he has ugly crossovers are correct, that isnt the right way to preform a cross over..the right way is to aim with you toe when ur placing ur skate
