Why should you buy this stick? WHY NOT?! My goal was to have one
superior stick in my bag that I feel like I can cross
all musical lines with — from jazz, to pop, to funk, to fusion. I needed one tool, one stick that I could totally
be myself 100%, relaxed, that I’m not thinking about it I needed something that I could let go and be confident
and trust, and just go in every situation. I needed one stick, and I found it.
We did it! Man, the specs! Wow! I guess the best way for me to
describe this is to give some history. I started off playing Vic Firth 5As, when
the 55As came out I went to those. I used the Steve Smith Signature
sticks a lot! I used 8Ds. But mainly, my main stick for the
majority of time, has always been the 3A. I’m such a fan of the feel of the 3A.
It’s all front heavy, and I needed that #1 So I had to have a very short taper. But as time goes on, I’m in the gym, I try to
work out, anyways, I started to outgrow the 3A! To the point where the 3A
started to feel like the 8D! And when we talked about specs,
I needed a 3A on steroids. But what I was running into with
the 3A design was the tip. I found myself on certain situations
bouncing between the 3A and the Steve Smith. It was this see-saw thing going on
and I need both! They both have a short taper. I like the fatness of the 3A tip,
but the clarity and beef of the Steve Smith tip. So I tried to combine those tips and we came
up with the perfect, the perfect situation! It’s beautiful! I have a stick with Vic Firth,
how do I feel about that? Wow… If anybody who really really knows me, knows that
I strive to be an honest person, a genuine person. One thing that my grandparents always tried to
instill in me is to be grateful. Regardless to whether you’re
on top of whether you’re on bottom. I’m trying not to ya know, be emotional.
But, I am emotional! I never thought this would happen. I’m freaking excited about that,
I can’t wait to get to some drums! Just know I’m excited!
Thank you very much! God bless ya!

Love this dude's personality. He's not trying to be all cool and tough or "in" with the scene kids. He does him! It wouldn't surprise me if he was a man of God by his words and actions. The music industry needs more light like him in there for sure. Keep it up Chris. Always stay humble and God bless bro.

Vic Firth, you need to keep an eye on your weight matching and pitch pairing. I've been using your sticks for years but really feeling like moving away to Vater! I've bought many pairs recently and the sticks in the pack are completely different in tone, density and weight. Many people I've spoken to really believe that the Vic Firth quality is going down the pan. Vic Firth, get away from the kitchen utensils line and concentrate on your sticks.

Love me some chris coleman. Cant wait to get a pair of these, i noticed the comment below me about the sticks not pairing. This is the exact reason I switched to vic firth, vater and pro mark we're coming out crooked , i am glad i made the switch to vic firth

I've played Vic Firth sticks for about a year and a half(As long as i've played drums) and I love the feel, quality and variety that they have, and when I saw these sticks, I was really excited to try them out, so basically when I got them, I broke them in about a month from how much I used them, they were amazing and were another example of how much work and care they put in their sticks, and yet another example why Vic Firth is the best.

Hi Chris, you are my last hope, brother. I am 63, and have been playing for 53 years, and time has taken its toll on my right hand with carpal tunnel syndrome. I had the surgery in April this yr., and I'd lost my grip strength in my thumb, and the surgery didn't fix that problem. I use Vic Firth 5B, and I think I need a heavier stick, and I am going to invest in your sticks hoping this will help me a great deal. So, I am hoping your stick will be the answer. Thanks for this video, it was just what I needed to see what size sticks you use. You're a real inspiration to this dinosaur ! Thanks!!!!

I've been playing for 53 years, and I bought a pair of these sticks, and they are the best sticks, by far, that I have ever had in my hands. The fact that they are slightly longer than the average stick, plus the weight of them being heavier, makes such a huge difference. I'm a big guy like Chris, and so these sticks work out fantastically. The Only problem is, I cannot afford to pay the price for them. When one orders them online, you end up paying outrageous shipping costs plus the tax, and by the time it's all added up, you've invested 15 or 16 bucks in one pair of sticks. They're priced everywhere I look, at $10.49 or more per pair. :'^(
